Dale Turner
My friend/teacher/coworker Dale Turner just released his album "Mannerisms Magnified". By far one of my favorite album that I got this year. And I'm not just saying that because he's my friend. All the tunes are beautifully written&composed, his one-of-a-kind guitar playing/voice will tickle your eardrums, and to sum it all up he played every instrument in the album!!
Please take a moment to check them out and get your minds blown away.

When you miss someone...
So for some time now, I've been missing someone very dear to me. To cope, I'm posting a song that breaks my heart. It's by an artist whom I know this person loves dearly. Enjoy

big band, and we cannot believe the catering fiasco up in this piece
( I'm obviusly channeling Zach). All this excess food and where does
it go at the end of the day? La basura :( This ain't no Chef Boyardee
either... anyone starving???

Whats up errbody. I hope yer hanggin in there. Its me Dave Mendoza and I have neglected to post on this thing until..... now. Yes its true, Im now apart of the cyber connection even deeper. I dont think its my day to post but this is just a "hey how are ya... Im here... Ill be writin... hope yer readin..." sort of thang. I havent had enough wine to really cut loose with this post, rest assure, I will soon. I really get into it if ya know what i mean. Speaking of wine, my wife found a real good one that realy sneaks up on ya. Its a french one called "Chateau de La Chaize" its a Brouilly and its not pronounced bro-u-ily as I recently found out. Its very light and smooth and it can really induce the giggles with the quickness as it has in my wife after only two glasses. The light weight didnt know what hit her. Ha! its like a $20 bottle and worth every penny. But dont take my word for it. Drink it for your self. Let me know what you think.
And now some words of wisdom...
Ill see ya next time

iPad
Probably one of few reasons (if any) to get an iPad is for reading. For musicians this can be quite helpful because you don't have to carry around folder full or unorganized music charts and worry about losing charts. But then again, you would have to spend more than $500 ~ $850 for that. MMMMmmmmmmaybe not. I'm sure there will be bunch of cool apps later on such as a touchscreen console for recording software and whatnot. But no USB bus or Firewire??? Ouch... Much rather run over your iPhone/iTouch with a roller truck. Sorry to be bitter :)

New Bio Costs Hours and Hair
NEW BIO! AHHH! After hours of strenuous pondering and losing hair, we've reached satisfaction. Thanks to a few wonderful people, this cookie is fresh out the oven!
Feelgood is a generational combination of music into one pop, rock and soul melting pot. This melting pot has birthed comparisons to everyone from Maroon 5 to Prince. Backed by precision instrumentation and fronted by soul, Feelgood’s music transcends timelines and stereotypes.
Already touted by Music Connection Magazine as a “Potential Top 40 Radio Band,” Feelgood, formed in 2007, found itself playing in packed rooms in Los Angeles. From these shows grew Feelgood’s desire to move and elevate the crowd into a frenzy the moment the music kicks in.
The heart and soul of the band is multitalented musician, singer/songwriter Stefan Di Maria. While his vision didn’t connect overnight, Stefan was drawn to the performances of artists like Michael Jackson (whom he channeled for a rearing rendition of “Beat It” in front of his classmates in 1st grade) and the musicality of his father’s generation of classic rock bands. Collectively, the band cites the genius of Sting and Earth Wind and Fire as strong influences that allow them to bring conscious musical intelligence into the equation of Feelgood.
Once bitten by the performance bug, Stefan assembled a band of artists superbly proficient in their instruments, beginning with guitar virtuoso Kenny Echizen and then adding seasoned veteran Zach Rudulph on bass. He rounded out the line up with smooth keyboardist David Mendoza and his backbone, drummer Roberto Cerletti. These artists are equal parts of the equation and their varied cultural backgrounds add spice to the melting pot as well as diversity to the music.
Feelgood’s most recent self-titled offering is made up of upbeat infectious grooves and relationship-driven topics that are either firsthand accounts or sharp observations. The breakout single “Baggage” shines light on all the things one takes into relationships, either knowingly or unwittingly. While their songs are heartfelt, soulful insights to issues we can all relate to, the songs elicit a “feel good” attitude, letting listeners know that they can smile and dance while going through these hardships.
The boys of Feelgood continue to focus on proficient and fluid live performances in historic venues such as The House of Blues on Sunset and the world-famous Roxy Theatre in Hollywood. While constantly striving for perfection and originality during these live performances, they intersperse rigorous rehearsals and writing sessions to keep everything fresh. Their live shows help the band to maintain the connection with an audience, and that energy fuels their never-ending quest for originality and showmanship.
And while the audience remains captivated during live performances, you can’t help while watching the band to think that Stefan still envisions himself as that 6-year-old channeling Michael Jackson, and the crowd is still his classmates.

Pharaoh Hounds: The Ancient Breed
I've found new obsession. PHARAOH HOUNDS! These dogs are fricken Jawesome. Smart, beautiful, easy to train, easy to maintain, friendly towards other dogs, no known health concerns, not too aggressive but good watchdogs against the bad guys.
I'm now saving up for a pup and I will call him Ru!
Just a pup!
All growed up!... and still beautiful!
Look at how they glisten in the sun!

MUSIC makes MOVIES
Have you ever tried to watch Scream on mute while listening to 'Maple Leaf Rag'? Not scary...
How about watching The Notebook while listening to 'Aint No Fun If The Homies Can't Have None'? you get the point...
Paul Cristo is genius. Whatever the kind of movie, he writes for it! Turn of your lights, turn your speakers up and follow the link below. THEN proceed to click on the clip 'Braving the River' under ACTION. It's quite effective

and p.s. ladies, Paul is dapper and single

Had a blast last night at the Cantina Lounge in Fullerton. I always have a good time playing there. It was good to see some familiar faces :) And what a nice surprise to see our foreign drummer just popping up out of nowhere before the gig. Great to have you back Robbie.
I'll be playing with a Folk/Blues group Mike Stocksdale Band this Friday night at Molly Malones around 10pm.

Antarctica? Yes. It was cold.
Exactly an year ago today, I was in Antarctica checking out some billion year old icebergs. And yes it was cold. I still look at the pictures and videos I took and ask myself: "Did I really see all this???", and yes. I did.
Thanks to all who came out to our CD release party on Friday. We had such a blast. Apologies to anyone who had to wait outside in the rain.

the Genesis...
A FeelGood Fix... a dose prescribed to you on any given weekday (weekends are for snowboarding and gospel gigs, with the exception where we really wanna say something)
Posts will be from a different member of FeelGood each day, so that it's not Mussolini'd by Stefan or Robbie, Tojo'd by Kenny, Diaz'd by Dave, or Mugabe'd by Zach.
Stay tuned kids.
